If you are an Illumine parent and stuck on how to join a virtual/online class or submit your assignments, don’t worry we have got you!
Please follow the below steps for the same.
How to attend Virtual/Online Class
Step 1 – Log in from your Illumine registered phone number, you will receive the OTP, type in the OTP and it will take you to your child’s profile.
Step 2 – Once the teacher adds the virtual class details you will get the notification on the bell which is on the top left of your screen and as an upcoming reminder below your child’s profile. You can set up a reminder also by clicking on the bell button in the upcoming virtual class card.
Step 3 – When you scroll down in the timeline , you will see the virtual class update and all the details regarding the class, you can like , mark favourite and comment(if permission given). You can view photos, videos, you tube links if added in the virtual class details.
You can now click on Join meeting card to get into the meeting room of that particular class.
Step 4 – Once you join the Zoom meeting room, you can mute/ umute yourself, you can view the other participants and view the teacher in the main screen.
Yeah, it was this easy, now can you join our virtual classes without any hassle, no more downloading of Zoom application, looking for meeting id and searching for emails sent by schools.
Just download Illumine and track, set reminders and join the classes easily.
How to submit my child’s assignment?
Step 1: Login from your Illumine registered phone number, you will receive the OTP, type in the OTP and it will take you to your child’s profile.
Step 2: Once the teacher adds the New lesson you will get the notification on the bell which is on the top left of your screen and as a New Lesson Shared below your child’s profile. You can set up a reminder also by clicking on the bell button in the New lesson plan shared.
Step 3: When you click on New lesson plan added in notification it will take you to Learning page and you can see the lesson is a task or learning experience.
Step 4 – you will get the notification on the bottom icon of the lesson and when you click on that Learning page will open which will show you Learning statistics and Lesson and Assignments.
If you see in bell notification lesson that means you will just have to do the activity at home as a learning experience and don’t have to submit an assignment. You can click on Lesson in the learning section and it will take you page where you can see all learning experience activities, you can ask a question by clicking on discussion button and once the activity is done you can mark it done and the teacher will get notified for the same.
If you see in bell notification as a task that means you will need to click on assignments and check out the assignment and send it back to school.
Step 5 – For assignments now click on the assignment tab in the learning page, you will be directed to the assignment page and there you can view the tasks and details about assignments, you can view the resources that are any videos, pdf files, photos shared. You can now download the videos, files, photos, etc if the school has given permission to do so
Step 5 – You can ask questions regarding the assignment by clicking on the Discussion button. and set a reminder as well by clicking on the bell.
Step 6 – For creating submission click on create a submission and you can add a note, you can upload the photo of the assignment or a video of the child doing the activity by clicking attachment and uploading the same from your phone gallery.
